What an AMAZING week at Lake Placid!
It was wonderful to get to watch our kids have fun, and learn more about a God who loves them and wants to be in relationship with each and every one of them.
Throughout the week fun games were played, tubing on the lake was enjoyed, and according to some of our boys "great food" was eaten.
The theme of camp this year was Eternity. Amazing youth leaders invested and prepared wonderful teachings so that the glory of Heaven, and the severity of Hell, were so clearly presented and many hard questions were answered.
God moved in mighty ways at Camp Eternity. One way we saw His hand at work, was in the deepening of relationships and trust between us and these teenagers.
Another thing, is the visible desire these students have had after returning home to "normal life." They want to go to church and learn more about the God who gave Himself for them, and they want their friends to come with them to hear about Him. The greatest joy witnessed was on the last night a student professing her faith in Jesus. She said she started this week "not knowing the God who loved her, and ending the week with a relationship with Him!!"
We serve a God who desires to be in relationship with every single one of us, it is our prayer that these students will continue to want that, and that they will grow and live their lives in light of Eternity.
Thank you for your prayers for camp and for your continued prayers for the work The Lord is doing through SFS here in Jacksonville, FL.
