Fall at Funday School

Updated: Nov 11, 2022

Since our kickoff in September, God has been blessing SFS in so many ways!

Our lessons have been focusing on GRIT- refusing to give up when life gets hard. Through stories such as Abraham, Moses, and Joseph we have learned about what it means to trust even when we don't know what the future holds. We can have GRIT because we belong to God, He can help us to do the right thing even when we aren't sure how things will work out.

It is our prayer that these kids will live their lives with GRIT and that they will run hard after our Savior who loves them so much.

We currently have 6 active locations, one being a new addition of an after school Bible club at Global Outreach Charter Academy!

Normandy Estates on Monday @4:30

Desert Winds on Monday @4:30

Calloway Cove on Tuesday @4:30

GOCA on Tuesday @4:15

Valencia Way on Friday @4:30

Palmetto Glen on Saturday @1:30

Another highlight of this fall has been that some of our teenagers got to go to "Autumn Institute" with First Baptist Church. On this retreat, they got to have fun with the other teenagers, play games, and swim in the lake. The most important thing though it that they got to here all about how all as followers of Christ need to be on Mission- here in Jacksonville, and around the world!

It is wonderful to see how our teenagers have become a part of the local body. They love Church, youth group, and helping to serve at events! We now have more kids wanting to attend church than we have room to transport - if you would like to get involved in helping us give rides please let us know!!

We are so thankful for the unique opportunity we have to get to pour into all of our site's children, teenagers, and their families.

Thank you for your continued prayers and support for the work that the Lord is doing through SFS here in Jacksonville, FL!
